    Hi together,

first: Perfect script. RetroPie makes much fun, and is almost perfect working.

But here’s a little suggestion for the script.
Is it possible to make an update check for the sources? So first the script looks, if there is a newer version. If not, then it will not be compiled.
As i remember, the script compiles without checking?!

And saving in the script, which emulators are installed would also be very good.

    Best regards,

The update does check from the sources if you choose ‘build from sources’. This should download the newest version a compile it to your pi.

I think he’s asking for it not to recompile the latest source if you already have the latest source compiled. So then you could check for updates without the risk of needless recompilation. But I’m just speculating b/c I haven’t tried that.

I like that idea! Also, it does not seem to be that difficult (see, e.g., The function at would have to be modified as well as the installation functions of the individual emulators.
