I am running version 3.6 of Retropie. When I scan for bluetooth devices to pair my controllers the scan finds nothing. When I drop to a console prompt we can load the bluez tools and confirm that the Pi 3 bluetooth is running and can detect the controllers.

So what could be wrong with the retropie bluetooth paring scripts?
    How could I fix them?

I found that i needed to install pi-bluetooth package. This gives me the raspberry pi 3 bluetooth driver. Hope it is included in the next image..

Now the bluetooth controller is paired with the retropie core, but emulation station is not seeing it as an available controller any ideas?

I have the same problem. My rpi3 with retropie 3.6 and bluetooth inside doesnt see my wireless xbox controller. I’ve been installed bluetooh driver but it ‘s see only bluetooth of tv. I don’t know what to do. Can I connected my xbox wireless controller with rpi3 by builted bluetooth inside or I must buy a wireless Receiver usb to connected?
