    Hi all,

What is the easiest way to reset an installation back to the version you currently have?
I have a working install and I’ve messed up my main retroarch.cfg
    I didn’t take a backup of it.

I reset the mame install by pulling the binary back down in the menu. I think if I do a new source based install in the menu it will reset the install but I’m not sure it will delete any additions of files I have made I.e. other backup files.

Would like to start from the beginning again.
    V3.0b

    Thank you.

Always important to make backups. I usually just start over with a fresh image, or I’ll make a backup of my SD card with win32diskimager and that saves me a lot of the trouble of transferring ROMs and configuring things. You could also just try doing a full binary install if you don’t want to reimage your SD card.

Thanks Herb, yeah totally agree with you.
I started this project as a RPi1, then when I got a 2 I didn’t think it would be half as good as it was, it’s tremendous! So just wanted a quick out. Source based install kept most of my settings, so I’m on a new image now WITH BACKUPS :D.

    Thanks again for the help.,
