    Hi,

I’m a real new guy at this so please go easy.

i have most of this working but when i run any mame ROMS the top and bottom of the screen are cropped off slightly.

whats the best way of correcting this?

i am playing on a TV over HDMI.

    thanks

Check the bottom of this post:

Using overscan in RetroPie to fit video to your display

Its this value in the mame.cfg
    display_border (I set mine to 24)

To set the controller in MAME, just hit tab on the keyboard:

    The fba config is here:
    https://code.google.com/p/pifba/

Looks like it wants you to use the config.txt

    Hi floob,

I’ve seen your youtube videos (very good) but doesn’t work. Just doesn’t detect any button presses on my ps4 controller.

I found a edited minimal.cpp file on here but when i try to recompile name i got errors.

So gave up as fba seems to be running mame roms fine.

    Any ideas?

Cant say I’ve tried a PS4 controller – are you tempted to try a more retro USB based one?

I’ll see if I can try one out.
