I’m trying to build what this guy made:

The Gameboy inputs are connected to the GPIO pins on my Raspberry Pi. Currently they all work for the front-end EmulationStation, but they do not work for any RetroArch emulator (GBA, NES, etc.) I’ve scoured the net looking for a solution, and I haven’t been able to find one or figure it out. Has anyone been able to get something like this to work with the most recent version of RetroPie?

I’m in EXACTLY the same position as you my friend. Did you have any success? It’s so frustrating to be caught a the final hurdle like this.
