Is there any way to allow access/copy/write to all the folders in retropie through WinSCP?

I have a lot of editing whenever I want to change something or update my retropie. At the moment I can only edit some files or write the new files by copying them through winscp to /home/pi folder and then I have to move them to the right folders from the Pi itself. It’s a bit of a hassle and I’d like to be able to copy files straight where I want them through WinSCP.

I hope my question is not too confusing. Thanks in advance ;]

You can just log in as root: create a root password with sudo passwd root and then use that password to log in as user root.
