I was wondering about this.. It seems there is an experimental opengl driver availible in newest raspbian (from FEB 2016). Will the experimental Opengl driver improve performance in for example PPSSPP if PPSSPP was build for opengl instead of opengl ES and the driver was enabled ?

I haven’t looked much into it so don’t really know if it would have any effect outside X though maybe someone more knowledged about it might have some info?

Don’t hold your breath on it. It’s very buggy and only works in a desktop environment.
