How can I find out exactly what directories _SYS_ is looking for in es_systems.cfg?

I’ve just assumed that it’s the variable that’s needed for the runcommand script to determine which system to use for the chosen rom.

it’s a parameter for runcommand – if it sees _SYS_ as the “command to run”, it works differently, and takes the commandline from /configs/_SYS_/emulators.cfg

Is /_SYS_/ a hidden directory? I don’t seem to have that anywhere on my RetroPie install.

no – it takes the parameter given after _SYS_ as the directory name.
