    Hi,

[I’m running Retropie Version 3.0 BETA 2 on Raspberry Pi 2]

So, I have about 7k roms in my Retropie and I would like to scrape all the meta data, but after a while it dims the screen and the scraper stops scraping.

    How do I
    a) turn off the dim fuction OR
    b) make sure the scraper continues running even with a dimmed screen?

    Thanks,
    Chris

    I’m officially an idiot.
    Sorry!

Of course you can set the timer for the DIM function to 0 Minutes, which (I would assume) turns it off; haven’t tried it though.

    I’ll try that!

I’d recommend using sselphs scraper. It is currently far better than the built in ES one.

    Okayyy! Thanks!
That requires some more reading. :)

Or is there a guide on how to use it somewhere?

    The video above should help.

But in short, get to a terminal screen on the Pi and type the following (assuming you have a Pi 2 Model B)

    wget https://github.com/sselph/scraper/releases/download/v0.7.4-beta/scraper_rpi2.zip
    then
    sudo unzip scraper_rpi2.zip scraper -d /usr/local/bin/
    then
    scraper -scrape_all -thumb_only

    I apologize.
My JavaScript blocker removed the video.
