Is there a way to boot retro pie on an old pc instead of raspberry pi?

There was some preliminary support implemented for x86 platforms

    https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/pull/1150

But I just prefer to use retroarch and emulationstation on a pc:

Yeah. Using retropie with a normal pc seems to be lame. 😉
Using retropie with something like >this< would be nice if it behaves like our current rpi images (direct boot up into emulationstation, setup over RetroPie-Setup).
