    Hi all

    i was just trying to find out what the minimum amount of arcade style buttons i could get away with when using retropie.
    i plan on using a stick 6 action buttons and player 1 and player 1 coin same for player 2.
    i mean is there any emus on retropie that uses more ? also how many buttons does daphne use ?

    playstation and n64 use more than 6 main buttons, depending on the game.

    neogeo/snk had a 4-in-a-row layout so it makes slightly more sense playing those on an 8 button layout (using top row), but that’s being a little picky 🙂

    if you’re mainly playing arcade stuff i think you’ll be ok with 6 action buttons.

    also am i right in thinking that there is 26 usable gpios on the rpi3 ? i.e i could map 26 buttons direct to the gpios and daisy chain the grnds ?
