I ran everything in that list then sudo apt-get install kodi and it says on the latest one 15.1 ahhhh
you probably missed something then. Like not adding the repository correctly.

Here is what I done:
cd ~/RetroPie-Setup/scriptmodules/ports mv kodi.sh kodi.sh_15.2 nano kodi.sh
copy the code from the github wiki page and then press
[crtl] + 'x
‘ and then'y'
to save the new file.Load up the RetroPie script and find Kodi in the experimental menu and install as normal

Follow the instructions above by smartroad
The copy and paste the Kodi 16 part of this page of the wiki:
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/KODI
then ctrl + x to save and write out. Use the same name: kodi.sh then run the kodi installer from the retropie setup experimental section.
