changing splashscreen

    hi there.

    i wonder if there is a way to change the splashscreen image. i found the splashscreen.png file and replaced it… but nothing change, the original screen is still displaying at boot.

    any ideas?

    Without testing, I would say that you need to exchange the file

    /etc/splashscreen.png

    . Did you replace this file or the one in the RetroPie folder?

    obviously i changed the one in the RetroPie folder  😛

    it works!

    to replace the file I had to use:

    sudo cp -i <new file path> <old file path>
