    hi all,

i am trying to update to the new 3.0 beta and am trying to first update the retropie script but i keep getting the following error:

    Update failed: │
    │ │
│ error: Your local changes to the following files would │
    │ be overwritten by merge: supplementary/ │
│ Please, commit your changes or stash them before you can │
    │ merge. Aborting

    any ideas? thanks

you have changed a file. either “git reset –hard” or “git stash” your changes.

thanks, that did the trick of the setup script.

i have tried the binaries, source and experimental updates but emulationstation still says it’s 2.0.1A, not 3.0.

what am i doing wrong? thanks

The version you are looking at I think is referring to emulation station not retropie itself (I could be wrong though). I’m unaware of any way to verify the download version of retropie- might be useful to know how if there is a way to verify that.
